Lucky

I found Lucky on a country road in 1992, more than a mile from the nearest house. She was barely old enough to drink milk from a dish. I stopped and reached down to touch her and she licked my hand. I was hooked. She was always afraid of traffic; so she stayed inside. For a long time, if she was looking out the window and a car went by, she would run under the couch. In her younger years she provided our family with many hours of entertainment as she was very mischievous and somewhat a thief. She especially liked earnings and coins. When something was missing we checked her hiding spot. Now she prefers to be on the couch and wants to just be petted.
