Lucy came to us from the mountains of San Miguel de Allende!

I went looking for a jack russell terrier on Petfinder.com. Lucy's profile came up and I instantly fell in love with her little face and sweet spirit. I learned she was rescued by a wonderful group I never knew existed called SAMM (Save a Mexican Mutt) after being found in a park in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She was flown to us via plane by one of the groups kind volunteers. Once we got her home and introduced her to Ollie, our young male Australian cattle dog, I knew she'd fit in well with our family. Ollie thinks she's the best playmate and friend he could ever hope for and Lucy thinks Ollie hung the moon. They spend a lot of time close together and many happy hours playing and chasing each other. Lucy's estimated to be around 2 years old when we got her and although we so wish she could tell us about her colorful Mexican adventures before we met, she's bonded to us in the biggest way and we feel honored. We will always get our dogs from shelters and rescue groups because the love affairs are so great.
