My fiance and I found Max through Petfinder.com - he was up for adoption from a local rescue. His photo captured my attention because he was on his hind legs, paws on someone's lap, and had this look on his face that spoke of, what we now know personally, a great energy and light. He had been found as a stray, and when we brought him home we just couldn't believe such a loving, well-behaved, beautiful dog could ever end up on the streets to fend for himself. He will never end up there again! He has brought so much happiness to our lives. Our rescue rescued us from a life that would definitely be less exciting and joyous without him.
