Peaches (inset) and Boo belonged to a former coworker of mine, who meant well, but didn't know much about caring for cats. She couldn't take them with her when she moved, so I had them for a day before passing them along to someone I know who works in cat rescue. The poor things were covered in fleas, had respiratory infections, and Peaches had an eye infection. Boo recovered and was adopted out quickly, but Peaches struggled for about six months and nearly died before making a miraculous recovery. She reportedly likes to make all kinds of mischief now that she is well!
