Puppy Mill Dog, Rescued and beginning the healing journey

Wendy is a two year old female rescued from Curly Tail Pug Rescue www.curlytailpugrescue.org from the same deplorable puppy mill as others we have listed on our website. Wendy is fortunate to have found her way out of the mill so early. Although she is the youngest, her sensitive soul seems to have been effected the most. She is completely frightened by humans and is having the most difficult time gaining trust. She is completely non-vocal but in being approached by her curly mom, she will do anything to avoid contact by running in opposite direction, hiding, and crouching down as low to the ground as possible. Most times, once she is backed into a space, she immediately rolls over belly up in a fit of submission. She flinches at the sight of any hand and really needs TLC.

Wendy is extremely overweight, recovering from a urinary tract infection, and is also just getting over an upper respiratory condition. Otherwise, she is healthy dog who is scheduled for a spay and vaccines. Wendy has the most impressionable heart and we have placed her into a foster home who is working with her so that she see that a hand will never hurt her again.
