Two brothers from other mothers

I lost my 16 yr old girl, Buddy, to cancer in '97 and moved to an apartment shortly after. It took a year to convince my landlord to let me have a cat! I went to the county shelter, picked out a kitten, but they put her down instead of spaying her for me. What a sad shock, when I went back in 3 days to get her. So I then took home a grown male, only to find he had urinary tract blockage and had to bring him back for euthanasia. My heart was truly broken, but I REALLY needed a cat by this time. I found Casey - the bottom one - at an adoption fair.
3 months old, a little cool with affection, but we were happy together. Somehow I always felt like he wanted a friend, but I had never had 2 cats at once. In 2001 a dirty little orange kitten wandered into my mom's garage while I was there and she convinced me to take it after I asked all the neighbors about it. He had ringworm, though I didn't know it until I got him to the vet the next day. Casey loved Conor so much from the moment we walked in the door, he was licking and trying to play with him before I could even wash him. So I ended up treating 2 cats for ringworm.
Now their days start out with a chase and boxing match after breakfast and then hours on the screened porch. At bedtime, Conor tries to push me out of bed and Casey sedately sits nearby. I'm so glad I have these guys and that Conor came along to keep Casey company, since I now travel a lot in my work.
