Join the flea-free movement, take the pledge, and protect your loved ones from these pesky parasites!
Fleas might be small, but they pose a significant threat to both your beloved pets and your family's health. These blood-feeding parasites are more than just a nuisance; they can transmit dangerous diseases like typhus1, plague2, tapeworm infestations3, cat scratch disease4, and murine typhus5. One seemingly harmless flea bite can lead to devastating consequences, just like Michael Kohlhof's tragic story in Texas6. But we won't let fleas take control anymore!
Flea-borne illnesses are not to be taken lightly. The symptoms might start with mild flu-like signs, but they can quickly escalate into life-threatening situations7. Imagine the pain of seeing your beloved pets suffer due to flea infestations, and the fear of your family being at risk of contracting serious diseases8. We cannot afford to be complacent when it comes to fleas.
We urge you to take a stand against fleas and the dangers they bring. Commit to reducing the spread of fleas and the risk of flea-borne illnesses by pledging to take specific actions to safeguard your pets and loved ones.
Your Actions Matter!
Every action you take can make a significant impact in the fight against fleas. Regular pet grooming and checkups, using veterinarian-approved flea prevention products, frequent household cleaning, maintaining lawns and outdoor areas, and inspecting pets for fleas are crucial steps in reducing flea infestations. By educating your family and friends about fleas and seeking professional pest control services if needed, you actively contribute to creating a flea-free environment.
The battle against fleas requires a collective effort. By pledging to take action, you not only protect your loved ones but also become an advocate for community awareness. Your voice can spread the importance of flea prevention and help others realize the urgency of this matter. Together, we can create a stronger, united front against these tiny yet dangerous parasites.
We implore you not to wait. Take the pledge today and be a part of the solution. Your commitment will make a difference in the lives of countless pets and people. Don't let another flea bite lead to tragedy. By signing the pledge, you show that you care deeply about the well-being of those you love and the health of your community.
Let's Make a Change!
It's time to turn the tide against fleas. Join the fight and take the pledge now! Together, we can build a future free from the threat of fleas and the illnesses they carry.

The Pledge:
Fleas, though small, can pose significant dangers to both humans and pets. These blood-feeding parasites can transmit various diseases, including typhus, plague, tapeworm infestations, cat scratch disease, and murine typhus. It is crucial to be vigilant and take proactive steps to reduce the spread of fleas and the risk of flea-borne illnesses.
I pledge to take the following actions to reduce the spread of fleas and the risk of flea-borne illness:
- Regular Pet Grooming and Checkups: I will ensure that my pets receive regular grooming and veterinary checkups to promptly detect and address flea infestations.
- Use Veterinarian-Approved Flea Prevention Products: I will use veterinarian-approved flea prevention products on my pets to deter fleas from latching onto them and causing harm.
- Frequent Household Cleaning: I will vacuum carpets, upholstery, and pet bedding regularly to remove flea eggs and larvae. I will also wash pet bedding with hot water and soap to eliminate fleas effectively.
- Maintain Lawns and Outdoor Areas: I will keep lawns, gardens, and outdoor resting places for pets well-maintained to reduce moisture and shade that attract fleas.
- Regularly Inspect Pets for Fleas: I will make it a habit to regularly inspect my pets for signs of fleas and address any infestations immediately.
- Educate Family and Friends: I will spread awareness about the dangers of fleas and the importance of preventive measures to reduce the risk of flea-borne illnesses among my family and friends.
- Treat All Infected Pets: If any of my pets have fleas, I will promptly treat them to prevent the infestation from spreading to other animals and to safeguard our health.
- Limit Contact with Stray Animals: Avoiding contact with stray or unknown animals can reduce the risk of picking up fleas and other parasites.
- Seek Professional Pest Control Services: In case of severe infestations, I will not hesitate to seek help from professional pest control services to effectively eliminate fleas from my home and surroundings.
- Advocate for Community Awareness: I will actively advocate for community awareness about fleas, their risks, and preventive measures to protect the health and well-being of our pets and ourselves.
Together, these actions will ensure a healthier future for people and pets. By taking this pledge, I commit to reducing the spread of fleas and the risk of flea-borne illness in my community. I will prioritize the well-being of my beloved pets and loved ones by staying vigilant and actively participating in flea prevention efforts. Let us join hands in this endeavor to create a safer and healthier environment for all living beings around us.
